If you’re a regular visitor to Newtown Motors in Cwmbran, you’ll know about our hugely popular Motor Sport Open Evenings.
We’ve been holding them since 2007, where we had just 10 cars on display. Things have changed a bit since then and it’s grown into a regular event where you can see competition vehicles, classic cars, new models and special guests. Here are a few images from our 2015 event:
Over the years, we’ve made exciting announcements about the Astra VXR and Lotus, as well as creating a great partnership with the local rally club, Forresters Car Club.
The night’s repeated success is owed in a large part to their hard work, planning the event and bringing along their members’ cars. They have also been able to organise some great speakers over the years, including Nicky Grist.
We’re proud and excited to say that our Motor Sport Evenings are now doubling in size, with the launch of our very first event in Hereford.
The first of our two events in July will also be the first of its kind at our Hereford branch.
We’ve partnered with Herefordshire Motor Club to give everyone a taste of what a Newtown Motors Sport Evening has to offer. On July the 5th, you’ll be able to see 15 rally cars, as well as a selection of our own Morgan and Lotus cars.
Come and meet our staff and enter a raffle on the night towards County Air Ambulance. If you live locally and you want to bring your own car for display, you’re more than welcome to bring it on the evening.
Best of all, like all of our Motor Sport Evenings, it’s completely free!
The fun starts at 7pm, so we look forward to seeing you in Hereford. If you can’t make it on the day, the good news is that we’ve got another event in Cwmbran!
There’s a lot to look forward to at this year’s event in Cwmbran.
On the 21st of July you’ll be able to see an impressive selection of rally cars from the Forresters Car Club, Aston Martin Owners Club, Morgan Owners Club, including a more-modified selection of cars from other clubs, including the RS Owners Club.
Special guests include rally driver Osian Pryce, who’s currently competing on 5 rounds of the world rally championship, as well as British GT3 racing driver, Ryan Ratcliffe. They’ll both be doing a Q&A session on the evening.
Don't forget, there's also a Facebook competition where you could win a free MOT!
See the details below...
The event is free to attend, and we’ll be raising money for children’s cancer charity, Latch. There’s a raffle on the evening with passenger rides available in a selection of cars, including the Morgan Aero 8 and Lotus Evora 400.
